Lucha Krewe celebrates the culture, music, and heritage of Latin America and the Caribbean. We are one of the only NOLA dance krewes who performs exclusively to Latin American and Caribbean music. Our songs & members come from all over the world. We dance to the rhythms of cumbia, candombe, mambo, calypso, Latin funk, and everything in between. 

We blend melodies and moves of Latin America with the customs of Mardi Gras, by mixing the masking traditions of New Orleans Carnival with the mascaras in Mexican lucha libre. The result is an international and intercultural homage combining music, dance, and professional wrestling that could only exist in one of the greatest cities and celebrations in the world.

Off the parade route, we bring flare and energy to philanthropic events. We partner with local non-profit organizations who share our commitment to inclusivity, and who channel their love for New Orleans into meaningful community-based action. You’ll also find us partnering with local businesses and organizations to promote the economic vibrancy of our city.
